Sale of a Legend

I'm currently about an hour from Leadville and I just read that the race has been sold to Lifetime Fitness. I can only imagine what this will mean for the race.

Read article in ULTRArunning online. Read here on Leadville website, follow link

I can totally see your point regarding the sale to Lifetime, especially since the race has such a long standing history. However, I'm hoping that Lifetime doesn't make too many changes and that through their involvement, even more racers are exposed to the event and therfore participate. I guess time will tell.

Separately, do you ever do any races in the Twin Cities? I'm helping to promote the 13.1 Minneapolis next Sunday, Aug. 22 and have a couple of discounted registrations I can offer to you, or someone you know.

Let me know if you're interested.

Thank you for thinking of me. Glaven is my bloggy big brother, not my real one...though I'm pretty sure we were sibling another time around.

I'm happy to find your blog. The world needs more runners.
